Overview

Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon opportunity in Liverpool. Join a successful and growing small animal practice in the City of Liverpool area, Merseyside. This is a full-time role with a rota including 1 in every 4 Saturdays; no Sundays and no out-of-hours work. The practice is established and modern with state-of-the-art facilities and up-to-date equipment.

This is a clinical lead position suitable for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident across all aspects of small animal first opinion practice and routine surgery/medicine. Previous Clinical Lead experience is not essential, as support can be provided as you step into the leadership role. An interest in surgery, or a desire to further develop surgical skills, would be desirable. You will join a skilled, close-knit team with colleagues pursuing certificates in small animal dentistry and radiology. The location offers vibrant city life and access to countryside within a welcoming community.

Responsibilities

  • Full-time clinical role with 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota; no Sundays and no out-of-hours.
  • Serve as Clinical Lead, providing leadership within a small animal practice.
  • Deliver high-quality first opinion small animal medicine and surgery.
  • Collaborate with a team pursuing clinical certificates to develop dentistry and radiology skills.
  • Contribute to ongoing practice development and patient care in a modern facility.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent.
  • Registered with the RCVS.
  • Confident across all aspects of small animal first opinion practice.
  • Interest in surgery or a desire to develop surgical skills.
