Join our independent practice at The Natural Vet in Glasgow, where we focus on patient-centred care, clinical excellence, the client–veterinarian bond and integrative medicine!
We are looking for an experienced full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our small animal practice on the south side of Glasgow. At The Natural Vet, we are proud to offer a strong and varied medical and surgical caseload alongside a supportive, approachable leadership team and a genuinely positive work culture.
We manage a busy diary of a wide range of conventional medical and surgical cases, with our Clinical Lead certificate holder (RCVS Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice) guiding evidence-based practice. We perform most surgeries in-house, including BOAS, anal gland removal, hernia repairs, corkscrew tail amputations, and diamond burr procedures. We actively encourage development in both medicine and surgery.
Alongside our conventional work, we also offer a holistic approach, with complementary therapies, including herbal medicine, acupuncture, laser therapy, and more, available from our dedicated holistic vets.
Whether you are a conventional vet or are interested in incorporating complementary therapies, we will support your strengths, interests and any further qualifications you wish to pursue. You’ll have the opportunity to broaden your veterinary skills and knowledge, and add to your toolbox in areas including:
We have a lovely, loyal client base who want the best for their pets, and we pride ourselves on building long-lasting relationships through trust, clear communication and excellent service. Our experienced clinical leadership team supports evidence-based practice while maintaining a flexible, collaborative, and friendly work environment with a strong focus on staff wellbeing, teamwork, and work–life balance.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who loves building rapport with clients, strives to do their best for the animals in their care and integrates well with a team. We have worked hard to create a positive culture and work environment, and we are looking for someone who shares our ethics and can further enhance our team.
We are looking for someone with a passion for evidence-based practice who is friendly, caring, and approachable, and who can explain their findings, recommendations, and treatment plan to our clients effectively. An interest in surgery and/or integrative care would be considered a bonus. We always encourage career development through additional qualifications.
If you’d like to join a supportive independent practice with a varied caseload and opportunities to develop your interests, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now or get in touch for an informal chat to find out more.
