Overview
Locum Junior Commercial Contracts Lawyer - Interim (Maternity Cover) for a public sector client, via Panoramic Associates. This maternity cover post is initially for a minimum of 3 months with the potential to extend up to 12 months. This range is provided by Panoramic Associates. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Rate: Up to £45 per hour. Location: Remote, with occasional in-person meetings if preferred (not mandatory). Hours: Full-time. Contract length: 3 months minimum, with scope to extend to 12 months.

Responsibilities
- Drafting and reviewing a high volume of complex, non-template commercial contracts
- Preparing and advising on grant agreements, deeds of variation, and demand letters for breaches
- Providing procurement support and contract management reporting
- Supporting large-scale projects from inception to completion
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and trust throughout project delivery
Essential skills
- Strong experience handling commercial contracts (local government sector experience highly desirable)
- Solid understanding of procurement processes and requirements
- Confident communicator with excellent reporting skills
- Commercially astute, able to work on non-standard and complex agreements
- Experience supporting large-scale capital projects
- Knowledge of local government governance and procedures
