Responsibilities

To produce an effective substation civil design and provide design support on permanent and temporary works as part of the Transmission Design Team.

Qualifications

• B.Eng or BSc in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical or Geological Engineering, with honours or HND plus relevant experience
• Sufficient experience on civil and structural substation design with considerable knowledge of National Grid specifications, British Standards, and other UK TNO and DNO design standards
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a Power Transmission & Distribution sector or similar
• Have the ability to self-learn the use of any Civil or Structural engineering software
