Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on leadership to engineering, infrastructure, and support teams across multiple regions.
- Define and execute a forward-thinking engineering strategy aligned to evolving business and product goals.
- Spearhead technical transformation initiatives, modernising legacy platforms into scalable, secure, and cloud-native environments.
- Champion agile methodologies embedding best practices across the engineering lifecycle.
- Build and nurture high-performing, globally distributed teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner cross-functionally with product, design, and commercial stakeholders to drive roadmap alignment and business value.
- Lead operational excellence initiatives, focusing on performance metrics, cost optimisation, and risk mitigation.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of innovation.
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience (13+ years) leading global engineering organisations in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Proven success in modernising complex technology estates, including experience with cloud-native architectures and microservices.
- Skilled in managing remote-first, international teams across multiple time zones.
- Commercially astute, with the ability to align technology with strategic business objectives.
- Strong experience in talent strategy, building diverse, resilient teams, and developing technical leaders.
- Deep understanding of software development best practices, delivery methodologies, and governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills at board and executive level.
