Missions / Main Duties
- Work with a team of engineers producing and delivering the electrical design of allocated M&E Projects as instructed by the Projects Lead M&E Engineer.
- Be a good communicator and a self‑motivated team player able to work with minimal supervision.
- Build and maintain good relationships with engineers from other internal discipline teams to promote Good Inter‑Discipline working relationships and a "One Team" ethos.
Duties
- Ensure projects are completed to meet all client’s requirements and applicable standards.
- Ensure designs meet CRE/Lead Engineers requirements.
- Ensure designs are completed to the timescales agreed with the CRE/Lead Engineer.
- Plan the allocated design works to meet the agreed timescales.
- Identify changes to the projects client requirements and raise them with the CRE/Lead Engineer.
Profile / Skills
Essential
- Flexibility in working hours to meet the role’s demands.
- Ability to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices.
- Knowledge of electrical services design within the built environment and/or transport infrastructure, including railway lineside systems (points heating, signalling power, level crossings, LV distribution) and/or lighting, small power, containment, earthing or fire alarms.
- Experience using Trimble ProDesign/Electrical OM, Microstation and/or Relux/Dialux Design Software.
- Knowledge of multi‑disciplinary issues associated with M&E and/or building services.
Desirable
- Ability to undertake overseas assignments where required.
- Experience working with offshore Production Centres.
- Ideally an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer.
- Qualified to HNC or equivalent.
- Experience working in Network Rail IP ProjectWise and/or BIM Standards.
- Knowledge of construction principles and standards.
