Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Logistics & 3PL Manager to join our team on a 12‑month maternity cover. This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Hackney, London. You will be responsible for overseeing inbound and outbound logistics, managing 3PL partnerships, and ensuring efficient, cost‑effective supply chain operations across multiple regions.
You will work cross‑functionally with Production, Merchandising, E‑commerce, Marketing, Retail, and Wholesale teams, playing a critical role in operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage all inbound shipments across five destinations from over 20 global factories.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers.
- Ensure shipment documentation and invoices are accurate and customs‑compliant.
- Coordinate with factory partners on shipping schedules, shortages, and issue resolution.
- Oversee outbound shipments to customers and resolve delivery or service issues.
- Support outbound forecasting and inventory planning to meet customer demand.
3PL & Warehouse Management
- Lead onboarding, setup, and integration of third‑party logistics (3PL) providers, including WMS/IMS alignment.
- Define and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities.
- Support warehouse negotiations and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Plan and execute warehouse relocations, including logistics and system migrations.
- Analyse and compare warehousing and logistics costs to support strategic decisions.
- Initiate projects to reduce stockholding and improve cost efficiency (e.g. obsolete stock disposal, clearance planning).
- Identify high‑cost operational areas and propose alternative solutions.
- Monitor and manage all packaging requirements for inbound and outbound shipments, including new launches.
Cross‑Functional & Operational Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for logistics and operations across departments.
- Support retail and wholesale teams with seasonal distribution planning.
- Assist with new entity setup and distributor onboarding.
- Support integrations with new distributors and e‑commerce platforms.
- Organise and assist with sample sales.
- Manage duties, tariffs, and customs issues, proactively identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
- Manage and support the operations team.
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in logistics, shipping, and supply chain operations.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Experience working to month‑end deadlines and operational timetables.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Experience with Zedonk (ERP) is desirable but not essential.
Education
- Degree preferred, (beneficial but not essential).
