The Role
To support the ASTI Business Unit and Project Planner in the successful delivery of projects for blue-chip clients through effective programme management techniques and support to the Project Management Organisation (PMO).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Planner in the production and maintenance of tender and delivery programmes.
- Update programmes at the required frequency and provide PMO with realistic and accurate forecast programmes.
- Support PMO with the development, control, monitoring, analysis, and reporting on schedule-related aspects for designated projects within a Portfolio.
- Monitor a cost and resource-loaded, logic-linked baseline plan for the project in accordance with Programme Office processes.
- Interface with other departments regarding project activities which may have an impact and ensure these are correctly captured.
Essential Criteria
- Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders (internal and external).
- Commercially focused self-starter with enthusiasm, motivation, and initiative.
- Working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation.
- Awareness of Planning Methodologies / Software.
- High level of numeracy and excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent MS Office skills, proficient in preparing reports and information using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong awareness of the level of interaction required with the project team to support successful project delivery.
- Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills for working in a team environment.
- Attention to detail with strong time management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Desirable
- Awareness of Planning Methodologies / Software.
- Awareness of NEC3/4 contracts, particularly programme deliverables and requirements.
- Awareness of DCMA Assessment Criteria, Acumen Fuse, etc.
- Relevant industry experience.
General Information
- Position is preferably based in Inverness / Highlands Region, but offices in Perth or Glasgow are available.
- Travel to site and attendance at project progress meetings as required throughout Scotland.
- Salary and benefits will be on a Personal Contract basis and commensurate with a position at this level, dependent on experience.
