The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality food service and retail standards across multiple healthcare sites.

This role ensures operational consistency, overseeing daily management, financial performance, and customer satisfaction while maintaining strict compliance with health and safety regulations.

Job Description

Leading and developing site teams, the Retail Operations Manager plays a key role in driving efficiency and profitability, supporting new site mobilisation, and ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards.

This role also requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to continuously enhance operational performance.

With a strong focus on cost optimisation, service excellence, and continuous improvement, this is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily food service or retail operations, ensuring high standards and customer satisfaction.
• Enforce food safety, health, and quality compliance in a healthcare environment.
• Oversee budgets, P&L, and cost control to maximise profitability while maintaining service quality.
• Recruit, develop, and retain talent, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Enhance customer experience by implementing service improvements based on feedback.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to align site operations with company goals.
• Proactively manage multiple sites, prioritising tasks and solving operational challenges efficiently.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

• Proven experience managing multi-site retail or food operations, preferably in fast-paced or healthcare environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage costs, optimise P&L, and achieve financial targets.
• Effective leader with a coaching mindset, ensuring team development while maintaining accountability.
• Confident in health and safety compliance, food quality standards, and operational best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address operational challenges proactively.
• Flexible and mobile, willing to travel across multiple sites to support teams effectively.
