Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cloud Ops & DevOps Engineer to join our AppOps team. The role involves managing and supporting large-scale, cloud-native environments, ensuring smooth Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD pipeline operations. You will play a critical role in environment management, deployment automation, and production reliability, driving the DevOps culture across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage AWS configuration for services including AWS Transfer Family, EC2, EFS, and other related services.
  • Manage and maintain Helm Charts – promote from lower to upper environments ensuring stability.
  • Use ArgoCD daily for continuous delivery and environment management.
  • Implement advanced deployment strategies with Argo Rollouts (Blue-Green, Canary).
  • Manage Istio Service Mesh for service discovery, security, and observability.
  • Build and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines, optimizing builds and deployments.
  • Understand and manage GIT branching strategies for multi-environment projects.
  • Execute environment builds for new clients and support performance / chaos testing.
  • Participate in production release planning and provide Level 3 support for deployments.

Experience Required

  • 7+ years of IT experience in large-scale, preferably financial environments.
  • 4+ years of hands‑on DevOps experience, including:
  • Kubernetes – strong command over kubectl, cluster management, and troubleshooting.
  • Helm – chart packaging and environment promotion.
  • ContainersDocker and/or Podman, image storage in Harbor.
  • GitLab – CI/CD pipeline setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Linux – solid understanding of commands, processes, and bash scripting.
  • SSL/TLS – diagnosing and resolving connectivity and certificate issues.
  • Familiarity with Incident, Change, Release, and Problem Management processes.
  • Preferably experienced with:
  • Jira – task and release tracking.
  • Splunk & Dynatrace – logging and performance monitoring.
  • Python – automation and scripting.
  • Redis – caching and performance optimization.
  • PostgreSQL – database management and tuning.
  • Kafka – event streaming and messaging.
  • HashiCorp Vault – secrets and credentials management.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
