About the Role
Are you an experienced cabling engineer looking for a stable, rewarding role with room to grow? We’re on the lookout for a proactive and skilled Installation Engineer to join our team and deliver high-quality data and fibre installations across commercial and industrial sites.
This is a permanent position offering long-term career progression, diverse project work, and excellent earning potential. You’ll be hands-on with both first fix and second fix tasks, ensuring structured cabling systems are installed to the highest standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing and terminating Cat5e, Cat6, and fibre optic cabling
- Carrying out first fix (routing, containment) and second fix (termination, testing, commissioning)
- Reading and working from site plans and technical drawings
- Diagnosing faults and performing cabling system repairs
- Keeping accurate records of installations and test results
- Collaborating with site managers and clients to ensure smooth delivery
What You’ll Need
- Solid experience in data cabling and fibre installations
- Confidence in both first and second fix work
- Familiarity with testing equipment (e.g. Fluke, OTDR)
- Strong grasp of on-site health & safety practices
- A full UK driving licence
- Great communication and problem-solving skills
