Your Role

We’re looking for an IT Support Engineer to help keep our internal and cloud infrastructure running smoothly. Reporting to the Head of DevOps, IT & InfoSec, you’ll provide hands-on support across the business, resolving day-to-day technical issues, onboarding new team members, and contributing to service improvements.

This is a great role for someone passionate about IT support, with a proactive mindset and a knack for problem-solving. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure our systems remain reliable, secure, and user-friendly.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Acting as the first point of contact for IT support queries, using our helpdesk system
Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Preparing laptops and tech for new starters, and delivering technical inductions
Supporting our cloud-based infrastructure and systems
Managing software licensing and working with suppliers to ensure value for money
Monitoring system performance, applying updates, and helping keep our infrastructure secure
Assisting with endpoint management and user identity tools such as Intune and Azure SSO
Supporting DevOps-related tasks and contributing to process improvements

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate will have:

Hands-on experience with supporting IT hardware and software
Familiarity with both Windows and Mac OS environments
Experience using a helpdesk or ticketing system
Clear and confident communication skills
Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
The ability to prioritise and stay calm under pressure
A professional, patient, and tactful approach when supporting users
You’ll need to be able to travel to our St Albans office regularly (typically 2-3 days per week, with flexibility)
We welcome applications from recent university graduates who are eager to learn and build their IT career

It would also be great if you have:

Experience with Azure, Intune, Entra ID, or Azure DevOps
An interest in cloud infrastructure or DevOps practices
