Senior Technical Architect

Initially until end of March + very likely extensions

Our client urgently requires the services of an experienced Senior Technical Architect to join a project team, delivering a high profile Government program.

Active SC Clearance is essential for this role!

Key responsibilities:

• Review and map existing integrations (SFTP and API), documenting data access rules, dependencies, and technical pain points for the C4 diagrams.
• Undertake deep-dive research into the specific capabilities of shortlisted native tools.
• Support the Lead TA in designing viable architectural patterns that align with the Synergy Programme’s cloud-based core system.
• Contribute to the “Pros/Cons” assessment of different technologies, ensuring the evaluation is evidence‑based and technically sound.
• Produce structured diagrams and technical specifications that provide a reliable baseline for department decision‑making.
• Support the final report writing and client playback / show and tells.

Skills and experience for Senior Technical Architect role.

Essential skills:

• Proven experience in mapping complex integration landscapes, specifically using the C4 model or similar structured frameworks.
• Deep understanding of both legacy file‑based transfers (SFTP) and modern API‑led connectivity (REST, SOAP, Webhooks).
• Hands‑on experience with AWS and Azure native integration tools.
• Ability to conduct rigorous software evaluations and compare iPaaS/Middleware solutions (Mulesoft, Boomi, etc.) against business requirements.
