Senior Cloud Engineer – Up to £73k – Remote ( Leeds once a Month)

We’re hiring for a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to take full ownership of infrastructure, deployment, and scalability for a hyper-growth, tech-led scale-up on a mission to reshape a traditional industry through smart tech and even smarter thinking.

This is your chance to be the first cloud hire—the person who lays the foundations and scales the entire Azure platform to support national (and soon, international) growth.

️ What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be responsible for building, owning, and evolving every aspect of the Azure estate:

Architecting and deploying CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)

Designing and building Azure cloud infrastructure from scratch (VNETs, subnets, NSGs, firewalls, load balancers, etc.)

Creating and managing the Azure Landing Zone to support scale and governance

Leading the move to multi-region cloud deployment

Defining best practices around infrastructure-as-code (likely Terraform or Bicep)

Working closely with engineering leadership on platform roadmap & resilience

• Deep knowledge of Azure networking: VNETs, subnets, peering, NSGs, load balancers
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline creation and management
• Confidence with IaC (Terraform preferred, Bicep welcome)
• Passion for automation, clean architecture, and scaling cloud-native platforms
• Excitement to work solo, take ownership, and build something from scratch
• Greenfield cloud—own and shape the entire Azure estate
