DevOps Engineer - MarketView

Overview

The MarketView team, within the ING Financial Markets (FM) / Wholesale Banking (WB) division, is responsible for the development, support, and maintenance of ING’s ION Marketview platform. The team collaborates with Client Services, Network/infra, and Analytics Tooling to deliver functionality and answer related queries for the Fixed Income Trading desks globally.

Qualifications/Education

• ionEducated to bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Experience/Knowledge

• 5+ years of experience in banking and finance, with a strong background & understanding of Financial Markets
• Exceptional in-depth knowledge of the Ion Marketview Platform, including MMI configuration, and platform administration
• Strong working experience with PXE, RefData, and Bloomberg MDATA components
• Experience of widely used Fixed Income trading platforms and ECNs (Tradeweb, Bloomberg, MarketAxess, Eurex, etc.)
• Detailed knowledge and experience of D2C and D2D electronics market flow
• Proven working knowledge and experience of Fixed Income credit, government and listed derivatives instruments, pricing and trade flow

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Delivering on BAU programme of work to ensure the MarketView platform is evergreen (iterative and continuous updates, upgrades, and configuration changes to the infrastructure supporting the platform)
• Provide first line support to the Fixed Income trading desks globally on ION issues across all supported products and services
• Work closely with internal Technology teams (from development to back office) to ensure databases, servers, networks and shared resources for the ION platform are understood, performance optimised, and changes are planned effectively

The role will be a key stakeholder for the overall MarketView engineering capability within ING, providing reasonable assurances that the asset is in line with business requirements while aligning with ING IT security policies.

Policy, Risk and Security

Maintenance and service governance including measurement, monitoring, and analysis of service levels and KPIs (e.g., availability, performance). Ensure effective incident management, prompt resolution of service problems, and accurate maintenance of application components in the ING Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Ensure regular service reviews with internal consumers and third parties for off-the-shelf applications.

Asset and Change Management

Assess impact of changes and ensure appropriate planning and action. Manage controlled change to internal asset solutions through planning, testing, deployment management. Operate a change backlog management process aligned with ING’s OAWOW (One Agile Way of Working). Align with 3rd party and internal stakeholders to establish and manage change and release plans. Continuously improve test automation and initiate improvement projects where required.
