As a Network Engineer, you will design, maintain, secure and optimise network infrastructure to support the firm’s IT environment, ensuring high performance, security, and resilience across LAN/WAN and cloud systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure using Cisco campus switches (e.g., Catalyst 9300) and Nexus series.
- Configure and maintain firewall solutions, including Palo Alto Prisma Access for secure access and FortiGate firewalls for threat management.
- Monitor network performance, proactively diagnose and troubleshoot issues to maintain service levels.
- Develop and enforce network security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to assess risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Support infrastructure changes and project work (e.g., office moves, configuration changes).
- Work with third‑party managed service providers to elevate and resolve complex network issues as needed.
- Stay current with emerging network technologies and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations (including SRA Standards & Regulations).
Required Skills & Experience: Technical:
- Strong understanding of core networking fundamentals (Layer 2/Layer 3, routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP).
- Proven experience with Cisco networking products (Catalyst, Nexus).
- Network security experience, including Palo Alto firewall administration (Prisma Access) and SD‑WAN familiarity.
- Experience with Cisco ISE for authentication/authorization (AAA, RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X) and wireless controller support.
- Troubleshooting and performance tuning in enterprise network environments.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in network engineering or related roles.
- Relevant certifications (Cisco (CCNP), Azure, ITIL) highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cloud networking (e.g., Microsoft Azure stack).
