Job Overview
Research developer is required for an exciting and innovative Hedge Fund based in Oxford. The successful research developer will be working closely with world‑class researchers building systematic trading strategies, implementing them, monitoring them, and, importantly, helping execute. You'll work on a wide variety of problems, whether optimizing models themselves, software engineering, strategy analysis, or understanding market structure.
Responsibilities
As a Research Developer you will:
- Collaborate with researchers to develop systematic trading strategies.
- Implement, monitor, and refine trading models and associated software.
- Support the execution of trades and help with operational monitoring.
- Analyze market structure and contribute to strategy analysis.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, or computer science.
- Keenness to get involved with the financial markets.
- Ability to participate in operational support and monitoring.
- Attention to detail and a desire to understand complex issues.
Beneficial Experience
- Experience in trading or execution roles.
- Experience with equity/credit markets.
- Familiarity with Linux.
