The Opportunity

We are working with a leading, design-led engineering consultancy to appoint a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to their London team. This role offers the chance to take a technical and client-facing lead position on complex infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on large-scale, mission-critical developments.

The consultancy has a strong and growing data centre client base, delivering projects across the UK and internationally, making this a standout opportunity for engineers looking to broaden their technical exposure and global project reach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of infrastructure schemes from concept through to detailed design and construction support
  • Act as a key technical point of contact for clients, particularly within the data centre and mission‑critical sectors
  • Produce and review detailed designs for drainage, highways, earthworks and utilities in line with UK standards and best practice
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical and building services engineers
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to technical development and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Input into project programming, resourcing and commercial performance where appropriate

Project & Client Focus

  • Data centres and mission‑critical infrastructure
  • Large‑scale commercial and mixed‑use developments
  • International projects across Europe, the Middle East and North America
  • Long‑term repeat clients and flagship developments

About You

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience delivering infrastructure designs within a UK consultancy environment
  • Confident leading projects and interfacing directly with clients and stakeholders
  • Proficient in industry software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage and AutoCAD
  • Working towards or already chartered (ICE or similar)
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to balance technical excellence and project delivery
