Role
As a senior project architect at Hyphen, you’ll typically be engaged on a major client account, working with a range of stakeholders and managing a project team. You will take ownership of projects (under guidance) from early concept stage through to completion, ensuring design integrity, technical accuracy and smooth coordination across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the design team and client meetings
- Maintaining day‑to‑day client projects
- Supervising and mentoring project team members
- Responsible for all aspects of Hyphen’s technical service delivery for the project duration
- Communicating resource needs to account managers and associates
- Maintaining the project Quality Control System
Your Skills and Experience
- Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong design sensibility, technical skill and collaborative mindset
- Independent decision‑making on fast‑paced rollout projects
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Confident client‑facing role and strong relationship building
- Minimum of eight years’ experience, preferably across all project work stages in a relevant sector
- Good understanding of UK project delivery processes, including building regulations, CDM, Building Safety Act, and planning requirements
- Solid design skills and technical knowledge, proficient in reviewing and checking technical submissions
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD and MS Office
- Excellent team‑working skills and positive, pro‑active attitude
- Great organisational skills with ability to manage multiple project demands, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Fluent in written and spoken English (additional languages an advantage)
- Track record of working with client design standards is advantageous
