Overview

Senior Account Manager required to take responsibility for driving event sponsorship/expo sales for their rapidly expanding conference & exhibitions series. The right candidate is expected to drive a significant proportion of the annual event series revenue across the European & Middle East portfolios; this is a unique business now ready to grow to its next stage.

Candidate Expertise

The right candidate will be an ambitious self-starter, with proven sponsorship sales and business development experience. The right candidate will be looking to join a fast-growing conference and events business and gain a valuable insight into the changing dynamics that exist within the growing Fintech sector

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales forecasts and maintain the current trajectory of financial growth, working to agreed quarterly targets in accordance with the plan.
  • Develop and build out core sales processes and systems, to enable and promote scalability of the conference through best practice
  • Immerse yourself in the market and key sub-sectors, to enable good familiarity with our growing community interests, aims and goals
  • Attend key industry events alongside other members of the senior team, as appropriate, to build new relationships and find new sales opportunities
  • Establishing a strong working relationship with the MD, Project Manager & Operations Manager, to accelerate community engagement
  • Planning and strategic direction, working alongside the managing director, director of operations, and editor to shape the direction of the business

Qualifications

  • Be educated to degree level
  • Have at least 5 years’ sponsorship sales experience
  • Have a proven ability to mentor other sales members.
  • Have either commercial expertise or an interest in the Fintech space
  • Have experience using Hubspot and strong digital competency
  • Be confident in building and developing strong senior client relationships through new business & existing clients.
  • Offer strong account management, project management and organisation skills
  • Have flexibility and a willingness for international travel
