The Department of Physics seeks to appoint a motivated Research Physicist Programmer within the Elementary Particle Physics (EPP) Group at the University of Warwick, working on the Hyper-Kamiokande experiment in the Neutrino Physics Group. This fixed term contract is 18 months with scope for continuation contingent on project funding. The position is available for immediate start with a funding end date of 31 January 2027. The role supports the development of data acquisition systems (DAQ), slow control, and web monitoring front end and backend for Hyper-Kamiokande.
We will consider applications on a part-time or flexible basis unless not feasible for operational reasons.
The successful candidate will work with Dr Ben Richards and his group on the Hyper-Kamiokande experiment, which is in the construction phase. Warwick is responsible for part of the development of the data acquisition systems (DAQ), slow control, web monitoring frontend and backend to be installed in Hyper-Kamiokande. Primary responsibilities include the development and testing of the online monitoring and control systems for HyperKamiokande, and support for the installation and integration of the DAQ system on schedule.
