An established specialist claims consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Manager to lead a team and manage a varied caseload of complex marine and commercial claims.
This is a hands-on role combining technical claims handling, stakeholder management, and people leadership, with a strong focus on delivering efficient, high-quality outcomes for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a diverse portfolio of claims, including complex liability matters
- Leading, mentoring, and performance-managing a team of claims professionals
- Investigating, negotiating, and settling claims within agreed authority levels
- Building and maintaining strong client and supplier relationships
- Representing clients in mediation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution forums
- Providing clear written and verbal reporting to senior stakeholders
- Supporting loss prevention initiatives and continuous improvement

- Significant experience in a senior claims handling or management role
- Strong technical knowledge and confident decision-making ability
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Commercially aware, well-organised, and able to work autonomously
- Comfortable operating in a changing, fast-paced environment
