Overview
Our client, a leading international insurer, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their team. This role acts as a vital link between offshore processing teams, underwriters, clients, and brokers—resolving complex queries, maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring smooth operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned accounts, ensuring timely premium collection and accurate cash allocation.
- Escalate outstanding debt or cash issues promptly to ensure early resolution.
- Review and reconcile broker statements, raising and resolving queries effectively.
- Identify root causes of high query volumes and collaborate with stakeholders to reduce future issues.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and user guides.
- Ensure accurate data capture to support meaningful MI reporting.
- Analyse processes and data to highlight concerns and propose improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong numeracy, literacy, and analytical skills.
- Customer service experience with excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing ability.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to interpret and analyse detailed financial reports.
- Insurance or credit control experience within the Commercial or London Insurance market (advantageous).
- Additional language skills are desirable but not essential.
