Financial Controller – Multi-site business – London with Hybrid working – Salary up to £100,000
We’re seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead day‑to‑day operational finance activities and partner closely with senior leaders across a multi‑site organisation. This is a hands‑on leadership role with responsibility for financial control, reporting, audit, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the month‑end close process and deliver accurate management reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow) across multiple sites.
- Lead, coach, and develop a finance team to deliver consistent, high‑quality reporting to tight deadlines in a multi‑site environment.
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with operational leaders across the business.
- Manage the annual audit and preparation of statutory accounts.
- Take full ownership of statutory and regulatory reporting (e.g. VAT and other filings).
- Ensure strong balance sheet control, reconciliations, and financial governance across all locations.
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, systems, and controls.
Skills & Knowledge
- Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
- Must have proven experience in a commercial, multi‑site environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including statutory accounts preparation.
- Proven people leader with the ability to build and develop high‑performing finance teams.
- Commercially minded, with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate financial insight for non‑finance stakeholders.
- Highly organised, detail‑focused, and comfortable working to tight deadlines during critical reporting periods.
