Company Overview
CPI Mortars were pioneers within the UK construction materials industry in the late 1990’s with the construction of the UK’s first dry mortar plant. It is now the only national dry mortar producer operating across a network of nine EuroMix manufacturing plants. EuroMix dry mortars, renders, plasters and concretes are used by major construction companies in the UK on housing, industrial, educational and infrastructure projects.
CPI also operates a state-of-the-art bagging operation at Carlton Manufacturing which supplies the merchant and contractors’ market with a range of bagged ready to use concrete, mortar and fence post mixes.
CPI are part of Grafton Group Plc, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange and who provide us with terrific support as our parent company.
Job Description
You will be part of our terrific Finance Team, supporting a market leading business by providing an important support to a busy operational business.
This is great opportunity for candidates keen to support a fast moving and hands on business by providing support on key day to day tasks to the production units and external customers
Our hours range from 9am to 5pm and you are not contracted to work weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for collection of accounts receivable, via dunning processes and / or account reconciliation
- Preparing and delivering to core KPIs including overdue debt and DSO targets for department and stakeholder use
- Regular weekly, fortnightly and/or monthly meetings with internal stakeholders
- Support to the Credit Manager in the collection over £75m customer debt per annum, through appropriate dunning processes and customer relationship management
- Ensuring that the team provide excellent customer service; guidance and support to internal and external customers.
- Ensuring team wide compliance with appropriate processes and controls – leading efficiency improvements and resolving any issues as required.
- Operation and maintenance of a robust control environment ensuring integrity of all relevant processes and ledger.
- And any other task requested by your Department head or any senior manager.
- Knowledge of SAP business ERM would be an advantage

* CICM qualifications or study would be an advantage as would previous credit control experience
