Part‑Time Financial Controller | Cleckheaton | Up to £70,000 FTE

You're not looking to coast. You want impact. And you want it on your terms.

This part time financial controller role puts you right at the heart of the business. You'll be working closely with two entrepreneurial owners who want proper visibility on performance, cashflow, and margin. Not just numbers for compliance. Numbers that mean something.

It's 3 days a week role with flexibility on hours and working pattern giving you the opportunity to fit work around your life.

This is a hands‑on financial controller role. You'll be responsible for pulling together the full management accounts pack, running monthly close, and producing reporting that actually gets read. Forecasting, budgeting and cashflow management will be front and centre. You'll also take ownership of VAT returns, payroll oversight (outsourced), balance sheet recs, and liaising with external accountants at year‑end.

There's support in place for transactional tasks, but you'll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves when needed – especially when it comes to improving processes and tightening controls. It's not about bureaucracy. It's about visibility and confidence in the numbers.

The setup is SAGE with admin support in‑house, but they need someone like you to bring it together. A steady hand, good judgement, and the confidence to challenge when needed.

They're open on qualifications. You might be a qualified accountant with a portfolio career. Or you could be qualified by experience with a strong track record in SME finance roles. What matters is your ability to own the numbers and influence the direction of travel.

You'll get:

  • 2‑3 days per week (flexible around school hours if needed)
  • Real impact in a growing, values‑driven business
  • Autonomy and trust from day one

If you're a financial controller who wants to work part time without dialling it in, this is the one.
