Candidate Manager – JSS – Recruiting Finance Professionals in London and the Home Counties

Are you a part-qualified/qualified accountant looking to make an impact in a growing and successful business. We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our high-performing finance team and help deliver accurate, insightful reporting across a dynamic group of companies.

As part of our Financial Reporting Department, you’ll play a key role in ensuring robust internal and external financial reporting while supporting the Group Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries (fixed assets, prepayments, payroll, accruals, FX postings).
  • Complete high-quality balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any review points promptly.
  • Provide P&L and balance sheet variance analysis and support management reporting.
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Take ownership of key trading entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and statutory filings (including tax and regulatory submissions).
  • Support external audits, ensuring deadlines are met and findings minimised.
  • Partner with AP and AR teams to maintain strong working capital and financial control.
  • Maintain weekly bank reconciliations and ensure timely accounting of transactions.
  • Manage intercompany transfers, banking relationships, and credit card administration.
  • Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts to support liquidity and operational needs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS.
  • Previous experience in accounting practice (desirable).
  • Proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent attention to detail, even under pressure.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
