Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Group Manager of European Finance Systems
- Maintain effective support to the EU Finance functions as required, including liaising across all IT functions and our external partners on the resolution of issues.
- Delivering support services which meet (and ideally exceed!) our agreed KPIs and measures.
- Provide special focus to the UK Business Units with support for several of their local Finance Applications including Bottomline for invoices, Accurate for bank reconciliation & Experian (PTX) for Payments.
- Coordinate the provision of financial reports and analysis through the EU Finance management team and supporting staff, and manage the provision of financial management information and analysis to Corporate Finance.
- Manage the acceptance of projects into Business-as-Usual support.
- Ensure the European Finance Systems are audit compliant.
What you’ll need

- Have strong analytical skills.
- Work smartly and efficiently whilst balancing multiple priorities.
- Have a positive, can‑do attitude. You will be a self‑starter that doesn’t need to be micro‑managed.
- Have clear and concise communication skills.
- Have 2+ years’ experience working in a formal ITIL based support environment.
- Broad understanding of financial systems & processes including GL (General Ledger), P2P (Procure to Pay), AR (Accounts Receivable) & FA (Fixed Assets).
Technical Skills
- 5+ years supporting Oracle EBS R12.2.
- Ability to respond to technical incidents.
- Strong technical skills in SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX scripting, Oracle Reports, Oracle Forms, Forms personalisations.
- Good knowledge of Oracle Applications Development Standards.
- Ability to discuss functional issues with users, with a good level of understanding.
- Experience of TOAD/Oracle SQL Developer.
Nice to have
- Experience of working in a European environment.
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
- Support of other finance systems including Bottomline, Accurate, and Experian.
