The Role

We are seeking lecturers to teach across undergraduate levels in the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility to teach weekdays, evenings, and weekends is required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met.
  • Develop, update and improve course materials.
  • Use a variety of learning and teaching methods.
  • Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
  • Stay updated with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
  • Work towards student attendance, progression and satisfaction objectives.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
  • Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
  • Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
  • Accurate record keeping.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.

Desirable

  • Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or ready to enrol in a teaching programme during the probationary period.
  • Experience in design/development of academic or professional education programmes.
