Assistant Management Accountant

The Opportunity
The business is seeking a proactive Assistant Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller across a broad range of daily and monthly finance activities. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands‑on exposure across the full finance function, contributing directly to high‑value outputs such as:
- Cashflow forecasting
- Revenue and COGS analysis
- Consolidated monthly management accounts
- Group reporting and process improvement
You will be encouraged to take ownership, ask questions, and challenge for accurate information across the wider team. Key Responsibilities
- Process new supplier invoices daily using HubDoc (OCR tool)
- Raise and issue sales invoices as requested by sales and project teams
- Ensure accurate coding and tracking including project names and introducer details
- Complete daily bank reconciliations across multiple group accountsReconcile trade debtor and creditor balances where required
- Support debtor chasing and credit‑control activities
- Match purchase‑ledger postings against project‑management records
- Maintain and update schedules for external commission payments
- Assist with the development and rollout of cloud‑based reporting dashboards
Candidate Profile
- Strong Excel skills, including lookups, SUMIFS and PivotTables
- Experience with Xero (preferred but not essential)
- A proactive communicator who enjoys problem‑solving
- Comfortable engaging with colleagues to ensure accurate and timely information
- Actively studying ACCA or CIMA, or planning to do so
- Genuine interest in improving processes and contributing to a modern finance function
