Senior Principal Consultant (Insurance Finance)
Credit Controller – Binders
How this role supports our success
This position plays a key role in ensuring the efficient collection of premiums, supporting healthy cash flow, and minimizing outstanding debt across our binder business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and track premium balances for binder accounts, ensuring payments are received promptly.
- Work closely with brokers, the DUA team, and underwriting staff to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.
- Follow up on overdue balances through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Keep detailed, accurate records of all communications and update the insurance accounting system with relevant notes.
- Escalate complex or high‑risk accounts to Underwriting or Premium Accounting management, recommending suitable next steps.
- Carry out premium and risk bordereaux reconciliations.
- Contribute to binder-related projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Offshore teams when required.
- Adhere to all company policies and compliance standards.

What you’ll bring
- A solid understanding of Company and Lloyd’s Market binder business.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
Technical Skills (preferred but not essential)
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Access and IRIS (advantageous but not required)
- Familiarity with Lloyd’s or Company bureau systems
