The Tofoo Co are starting a tofu revolution – one delicious, healthy meal at a time and we need YOU! We’re looking for Financial Controller to join the Tofoo journey.

The Tofoo Co in just 9 years has become the UK market leader in tofu & turnover has increased from £600k to £28 million and now employs more than 150 people.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of the business. This is a key role responsible for the preparation of management accounts, statutory reporting, and ensuring robust financial controls are in place. Tax knowledge is advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

· Preparation of monthly management accounts with detailed analysis and commentary.

· Maintain the company’s asset register and depreciation postings.

· Lead on the production of statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP.

· Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.

· Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and supporting sub-ledgers.

· Maintain and develop internal financial controls and procedures.

· Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.

· Support cash flow management and reporting.

· Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting deadlines.

· Provide financial insights and support to senior management for strategic decision-making.

· Liaise with tax advisors and HMRC where required.

· To support colleagues with ad-hoc work.

Required Skills & Experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a financial controller or senior finance role.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and statutory reporting.
• Proficiency in preparing and interpreting management accounts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in working with external auditors.
• Tax experience or understanding is beneficial but not essential.
