We have a fantastic opportunity for a Product Analyst (Purview/M365) join our team based nationally with flexible working. The salary on offer is £48,000 with eligibility for our annual 10% bonus.
This will be an 18 month FTC
About the role:
This Product Analyst role sits within the Digital & Data function, embedded in the Product team under the leadership of the Product Owner for Microsoft 365. With a focus on Microsoft Purview & SharePoint you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring these platforms are stable, secure, and delivering maximum value to the business. For Purview, you will help maintain governance and compliance, including monitoring and adjusting retention labels, classification labels, records management policies, supporting users, raising calls with Microsoft, and working with Information Governance colleagues. As a key member of the resolver group, you'll support the operational health of M365 services, particularly SharePoint for collaboration and content management, You'll troubleshoot issues, guide users, and contribute to platform improvements that align with business goals and regulatory requirements
Please note: Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years' hands-on SharePoint administration experience, including permissions management, site configuration, and PowerShell administration.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years in a SharePoint administration role, including permissions management and admin centre configuration.
- Minimum 1 year experience using Microsoft Purview for retention and classification labelling.
- Delivering 2nd line support for M365 cloud-based products with a focus on supporting SharePoint OneDrive, Lists, Forms and Teams, including issue resolution and configuration changes.
- PowerShell and Admin Centre configuration,
- Experience with Power Automate is desirable.
Knowledge
- A great understanding of SharePoint Management including using PowerShell to manage SharePoint.
- A strong understanding of Microsoft Purview, including creating and managing retention labels, classification labels, and records management settings.
- A good understanding of other M365 Cloud Apps including Lists, Forms and Teams
- Knowledge of Provision Point & ShareGate is desirable
- Must have a strong interest in cloud technologies
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Product Owner in shaping the roadmap and priorities for SharePoint and Purview.
- Respond to user queries and incidents, providing expert guidance and resolving issues with precision.
- Conduct root cause analysis to eliminate recurring problems and improve platform reliability.
- Collaborate with product colleagues to drive adoption, communicate product vision, and support change initiatives.
- Engage with end users to understand their needs, gather feedback, and inform training and support strategies.
- Ensure both platforms remain compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
- Monitoring incoming support tickets for M365, categorising issues and resolving tickets.
- Perform detailed root cause analysis of reported application issues, liaising directly with end-users to accurately document problem scenarios, provide clear resolution steps, and escalate only essential cases to developers.
- Identify and analyse recurring incidents, proactively proposing long-term solutions aimed at reducing future issues and enhancing application stability.
- Develop M365 Solutions including document management tools, workflows and other solutions, using forms, lists, Power Automate etc
- Maintain a proactive interest in personal and professional development related to Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Purview achieving Subject Matter Expert (SME) status to support the wider Digital & Data team effectively.
- Contribute to the product roadmap by providing recommendations on improvements and adoption opportunities highlighted through the resolver group activity
- Collaborate with third party vendors, internal developers and support teams to align on launch of new features that improve organizational capabilities
- Lead on ensuring that all new feature releases have been considered through service support and appropriate knowledge and support is provided to teams and end users following the release
- Support the vision for the technology with the wider Digital & Data leadership and colleagues with regular feedback
- Take proactive interest in developing personal and professional skills in the Product area and their technology to better support the wider Digital & Data team
- Participate in the evaluation and design of technical solutions, supporting the development of business cases, and identification / communication of associated risks and service support requirements
