Interim Group Financial Controller – 6-Month FTC
Central London (Zone 1, Hybrid: 2 days per week in office)
We are partnering with a private equity–backed international SaaS and technology business (t/o c £30m) to appoint an Interim Group Financial Controller on a six-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to extend.
This is a key leadership role overseeing the finance function during a period of growth and transformation. Reporting to the Finance Director and managing a team of four across Accounting and FinOps, the successful candidate will take ownership of financial reporting, consolidation, and control across multiple entities and international operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of financial control and statutory reporting under FRS 102
- Lead the preparation of consolidated Group accounts across multiple entities and jurisdictions
- Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes and act as the primary contact for external auditors
- Drive improvements in financial systems, controls, and reporting (using NetSuite)
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small, high‑performing finance team
- Support the Finance Director and leadership team with financial insight and ad‑hoc projects
Candidate Profile
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with proven post‑qualified experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role. You’ll bring:
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (FRS 102)
- Experience managing multi‑entity and international consolidations
- Hands‑on experience with implementing / improving an ERP (ideally NetSuite)
- The ability to operate confidently and autonomously in a fast‑paced environment
Experience within a SaaS or technology‑led business would be an advantage. This is a hybrid role based in Central London, typically two days per week in the office. The ideal candidate will be available immediately or at short notice.
