Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate daily bookkeeping and financial records
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
• File VAT returns and annual statutory returns in compliance with UK regulations
• Create, review, and manage journal entries
• Reconcile accounts and ensure data accuracy across ledgers
• Use accounting software to track transactions and generate reports
• Support financial audits and internal reviews as required
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Assist with general financial administration and operational support
• Collaborate with management to improve financial processes and reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in bookkeeping and journal entry management
• Proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks accounting software
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial compliance
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Close attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach
• Prior experience in hospitality or service-based industries (advantageous)
• Ability to work on-site in Scotland
