Position: Senior Accountant
Location: Bridgend
Hours of Work: Monday – Thursday
Salary: £25,000 – £35,000
We’re partnering with an accountancy firm in Bridgend seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Senior. The role involves preparing accounts and tax returns for a diverse client base, ensuring full compliance with regulations and deadlines. You’ll manage your own portfolio and contribute to the firm’s ongoing success. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on responsibility, can quickly make an impact, and is eager to progress within a growing, ambitious practice. Formal qualifications are an advantage, but experience and attitude are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Support bookkeeping activities and maintain accurate financial records
- Complete and submit tax returns in a timely manner
- Handle client-facing duties and maintain strong professional relationships
- Collaborate effectively with team members
Key Requirements
- Experienced in preparing accounts and tax returns
- Strong knowledge of current accounting and tax regulations
- Proficient in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Qualified or studying towards AAT, ACCA, or ACA
