A global reinsurance and risk transfer organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Adjuster to manage complex, high-value reinsurance claims within the London Market.
This role focuses on the proactive handling and settlement of technically complex claims, working closely with cedants, brokers, co-reinsurers and legal advisors, while contributing insight on emerging risks and portfolio performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of complex and high-value reinsurance claims
- Analyse claim data, recommend reserves and negotiate settlements
- Lead proactive claims strategies, including litigation and dispute resolution
- Liaise with cedants, brokers, attorneys and internal stakeholders
- Prepare clear reports for senior management
- Conduct audits, due diligence and claims inspections as required
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
- Ensure regulatory, conduct and compliance standards are met
About You
- 10+ years’ experience in reinsurance claims within the London Market
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to work autonomously
- Experience handling litigation and alternative dispute resolution
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication skills
- Knowledge of US Legacy Liability is highly desirable
- Collaborative, proactive and comfortable operating in a growing organisation
