We are a leading and dynamic dental laboratory based in North London, focusing on high-end dental cosmetic and implant works for top clinics and clinicians across the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Completely renovated in 2020, and operating in a modern and bright building, our laboratory and diligent team work in a state-of-the-art facility with modern equipment.

Job Purpose

To produce high-quality ceramic dental restorations, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and aesthetics in line with Vivo Dental Lab’s quality standards and client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Fabrication & Finishing: Build up, layer, stain, and glaze ceramic restorations including crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, onlays, and implant-supported prosthetics.
  • Ensure accurate fit, occlusion, and contour of all restorations according to case specifications.
  • Work from dental impressions, models, or digital scans.
  • Quality Control: Inspect all completed work for accuracy and quality before release.
  • Maintain consistency in shade matching, translucency, and surface texture.
  • Follow lab turnaround times and scheduling.
  • Liaise with CAD/CAM, metalwork, and model departments to ensure smooth case progression.
  • Communicate with colleagues and management regarding technical challenges or case-specific requirements.
  • Use ceramic furnace, hand tools, and related equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and lab protocols.
  • Maintain tools and work area in a clean and organized condition.
  • Keep updated on advances in ceramic materials and techniques.
  • Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in ceramic layering, staining, and glazing techniques.
  • Strong understanding of dental anatomy, morphology, and occlusion.
  • Ability to interpret dental prescriptions, models, and CAD/CAM outputs.
  • High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases to deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability in handling complex cases.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Recognised qualification in Dental Technology (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Dental Ceramist in a professional dental laboratory environment.
  • Experience with zirconia, lithium disilicate, and feldspathic porcelain systems.
  • Digital workflow experience (preferred but not essential).
