Veterinary Surgeon – Gloucester

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a confident and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, independent practice in Gloucester. This forward thinking practice combines decades of experience with a commitment to cutting edge care, offering a dynamic and varied caseload across multiple sites. With access to specialist equipment including CT, digital radiography, rigid and flexible endoscopy, high end Doppler ultrasonography, laparoscopic kits, and TPLO kits, you’ll have the tools you need to deliver advanced medical and surgical care at the highest standard.

You’ll join a team of 16 experienced vets, including certificate holders and advanced practitioners in small animal surgery, cardiology, and medicine. Evidence based medicine is at the heart of the practice, with regular clinical discussions and the reassurance of immediate colleague support, allowing you to take ownership of complex cases and develop your professional skills further.

This role offers the opportunity to work under sole charge, giving you autonomy and responsibility while also enjoying full support from a dedicated nursing team of 17 RVNs and 4 SVNs. You’ll also benefit from a structured out-of-hours service provided by Vets Now in the same building, ensuring continuity of care and peace of mind for both you and your clients.

The practice promotes growth and professional development, offering generous CPD, access to a large and varied client base, and a supportive, collaborative team environment. Flexible working options are available, including a consult only role if preferred, with shifts across the main hospital and satellite branches. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated veterinary surgeon to thrive in a practice renowned for its clinical excellence and innovative approach to patient care.

Gloucester offers a great balance of riverside city life with access to the stunning Cotswolds countryside, providing excellent amenities, excellent schools, and a high quality of life!
