Overview
Garage Equipment Engineer role at TieTalent. Vertu Garage Assist - Nottingham division of Vertu PLC is expanding and seeking engineers to cover the Nottinghamshire area.
Role is field-based, primarily Monday – Friday with occasional overtime. Based in the Plymouth area as referenced, but the primary location note is Nottinghamshire; please align with your actual location during application process.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a wide range of garage equipment including vehicle lifts, MOT test lanes, lubrication equipment, emission testers, wheel balancers and tyre machines to high Health and Safety standards.
- Perform vehicle lift maintenance to BS7980 and maintenance on general garage equipment.
- Carry out breakdown & repair works.
- Compile reports and recommendations where necessary.
- Manage van stock (consumables, lubricants and small serviceable components).
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment.
- Maintenance, inspection and breakdown repair experience.
- Enthusiastic, motivated and determined to see tasks through to completion.
- Good timekeeping, flexibility, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Customer-focused with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel and overnight stays when required.
- Basic IT skills and full UK driving license.
