Senior Optical Systems Engineer

Overview

Based in London two positions exist for Optoelectronics Photonic Systems Designers to join an exciting new start up. This position is Hybrid and will focus on the development of disruptive technologies for HPC, AI / ML Technologies.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the Optical Network system design, Hardware Design, implementation and testing, Test and Measurement, modelling and characterisation of optical components and assessing Optical Transmission network performance for short reach AI Networked Systems.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a good relevant degree from a high calibre University, in either Physics, Electronics or related, along with extensive hands on experience in optical communication development.

• Experience of working with speeds of up to 100Gpbs plus either testing or Design
• High Speed Electronics for Design

Role Details

For the more junior role a PhD candidate or researcher can be considered. For the more Senior, extensive experience of all of the above is required.
