A market-leading FMCG organisation seeks an ambitious Manufacturing Manager to lead the Stoke-on-Trent site and the manufacturing function through its next phase of growth. This high-profile leadership role oversees over 100 production staff via two direct reports, with safety, efficiency and performance at the core.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire and develop a large team, creating a culture built on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Ownership of site KPIs.
  • Drive a proactive approach to health and safety, ensuring all processes are food-safe, reliable and effective.
  • Work closely with engineering and technical colleagues.
  • Champion new initiatives that reduce costs, boost productivity and maintain exceptional product quality.

Beyond day-to-day operations, the role carries strategic impact. The Manufacturing Manager will work with site, regional and national teams to share best practice, deliver business-critical projects and support long-term development plans. They will also hold direct responsibility for the manufacturing budget, balancing financial control with value creation and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in food manufacturing or another fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
  • Commercially astute, results-driven and resilient, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong track record in driving improvements, leading change and managing CAPEX projects.
  • Exceptional people leadership skills and the ability to build capability across large teams.
  • A degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or a related discipline (advantage).

Salary and benefits: This role offers a competitive salary plus benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme up to 10%, annual bonus and electric car scheme.
