Farrow and Ball – Maintenance Engineer, Wimborne (40 hours per week)

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team based at our manufacturing site in Wimborne, Dorset. The role is permanent and full time. Most hours will be between 7.30am - 4pm Monday to Friday, with occasional work outside these hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and carry out scheduled repairs and planned maintenance
• Execute improvement works aligned with business needs and production schedules
• Prioritise tasks effectively, balancing reactive and proactive maintenance
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels, flagging shortages as needed
• Use Agility CMMS to log accurate asset history and maintenance records
• Collaborate with the wider team to meet and exceed KPI targets
• Ensure all production machinery is kept in optimal working condition
• Identify faults and suggest improvements to enhance equipment reliability
• Deliver a consistently high level of service to internal stakeholders
• Review and refine preventative maintenance schedules based on hands-on experience
• Uphold all health and safety standards and company procedures

Key Attributes & Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• Time-served Electrician with a proven track record in fault diagnosis and repair
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills and solid mechanical aptitude
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities
• Clear communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally
• Personally accountable, cooperative, and committed to excellence
• Curious and innovative mindset—always seeking smarter ways to work
• Honest, respectful, and a true team player
