CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE WITH A LEADING AEROSPACE COMPANY FOR A REPAIR STRESS ENGINEER
- Onsite in Filton – opportunity for 2 days a week from home
- BPSS clearance required
Responsibilities of the Repair Stress Engineer:
- Join a team responsible for static strength analysis of metallic and composite structures.
- Collaborate with Design and F&DT engineers to assess and validate repairs to damaged aircraft structures.
- Complete justification reports and engineering documentation.
- Develop optimal repairs with skilled designers.
- Perform structural static strength analysis using ISAMI and Mathcad.
- Have an Aircraft Structural Engineering background.
- Possess knowledge of ISAMI and Mathcad.
- Use hand and computer methods for static analysis.
- Experience with composite materials is beneficial.
- Ability to pass a BPSS check.
