As we establish our UK presence and scale globally, we're hiring a Battery Application Engineer to ensure our products integrate flawlessly into customer systems and deliver reliable, real-world performance.

Role Purpose

Own the technical success of customer integrations across light e-mobility, BESS, and industrial/UPS applications-bridging product engineering with customer needs from pre-sale through validation, certification, and launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical interface for clients and partners across the UK and Europe, providing pre- and post-sales application support.
  • Lead integration of sodium-ion batteries into customer systems-scoping requirements, coordinating design/validation/testing with China engineering, and resolving issues to launch.
  • Capture customer requirements and translate them into product definition.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Battery application engineering, systems integration, or test/validation for battery systems.
  • Strong grasp of battery fundamentals (cell chemistries, pack architecture, thermal management, ageing mechanisms) and power electronics interfaces.
  • Hands‑on with BMS configuration and diagnostics; familiarity with SOC/SOH algorithms and protection strategies.
  • Proficient with communication protocols and tools (CANalyzer/CANoe, Vector tools, serial/RS‑485 analysers).
