Roads Engineer – WSP (London & South East)
WSP are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Engineer to join our Roads team. Based in the London & South East region, you will work from offices in Cambridge, London (Westferry Circus), Basingstoke, Guildford, or Southampton.
As part of a high‑performing team, you will support major strategic projects, local authority schemes, and a range of road safety, public realm, and digital design initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Deliver road projects and services for Central Government Authorities, Local Authorities, and other public/private sector clients.
- Assist the Senior Engineer/Team Leader in designing with Civil3D and AutoCAD.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including landowners, and maintain consultation records in the database system.
- Guide, supervise, and direct junior team members in technical and project‑management matters, supporting their professional development.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent within a highway‑design role.
- Progressing towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status; membership of an appropriate Institution.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision or as part of a larger delivery team on complex CAD/BIM projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with an aptitude for further development in Civil3D/GIS and BIM.
- Experience dealing with stakeholders and accurate consultation record keeping.
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
