Job Description
The Field Engineer plays a key role in installing vehicle telematics products into customers’ vehicles with professionalism and timely execution. This position focuses on customer satisfaction, relationship building and adherence to company policies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain proactive daily communication with customers to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
- Complete health and safety documentation before each installation or repair.
- Ensure the “Job Sheet” is completed and signed before leaving the work area.
- Perform assigned work on time, accurately and with high quality workmanship.
- Troubleshoot customer queries regarding faulty equipment and suggest resolutions.
- Maintain accurate inventory accountability and secure all company equipment.
- Encourage a tidy van, tidy mind attitude.
Qualifications
- Clean UK driving licence.
- Excellent attention to detail, judgment and logical decision making.
- Hands‑on individual ready to roll up sleeves and resolve issues.
- Self‑starter team player confident in a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive initiative, problem‑solving and “can‑do” attitude.
- Strong desire for continuous improvement to systems and processes.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Willingness to stay overnight if required.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Polite, confident and friendly manner.
- Flexibility and quick thinking.
- Well‑organised and diligent under pressure.
