Civil Engineer to Principal Civil Engineer (Design and Build - Water) at Stantec.

Stantec is partnering with UK Contractors to deliver innovative, sustainable and efficient solutions across regulated water programmes and projects. We are seeking individuals who think differently and challenge conventional thinking to join a growing, collaborative team of engineers to meet industry-wide efficiency and net zero challenges.

Currently we are looking for experienced Civil Engineers to join our dynamic team, supporting the delivery of a variety of design and build projects as part of major capital investment programmes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver technical solutions and detailed designs.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure projects meet cost, schedule, quality, and technical standards.
• Provide expert input across all stages of project delivery, ensuring alignment with Partner and Stantec expectations.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related subject.
• Ideally Incorporated or Chartered member of a relevant engineering institution (e.g., ICE, CIWEM).
• Experience in developing detailed designs, working in a contractor-led environment, and leading and developing civil engineers and other technical professionals.
• Experience across water and wastewater infrastructure, with preference for experience in one or more of these areas: Sustainable Urban Drainage and Surface Water Management; Trunk Mains and Large Diameter Pipeline Design; Service Reservoirs; Clean Water Treatment.
