Production Manager

Production Manager – Defence Manufacturing

ACJ Search is partnering with a defence manufacturer based in Wolverhampton who are actively recruiting for a Production Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the site Head of Manufacturing, this role will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the production areas.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project needs are met for allocation of resource and progress of activity
• Drive a continuous improvement culture throughout the organization
• Support the Head of Manufacturing in the day‑to‑day running of the production areas
• Put quality at the heart of the production processes and ensure that all systems are strictly adhered to
• Coach, mentor and lead the production team
• Take accountability for the delivery of the weekly production plan

Qualifications

• A strong knowledge of metal fabrication and welding
• Proven track record in people management
• Understanding of lean principles and a track record of implementation

This is an on‑site role based in Wolverhampton.
