A Little More About Your Role…

The position is based in our Chancery Lane office, an all‑electric, flexible workspace designed around staff health and wellbeing. You will join the Building Structures team as a full‑time Engineer, responsible for technical design across all RIBA stages for a diverse portfolio of UK and international projects, including high‑rise buildings, stadiums, urban regeneration, healthcare, commercial, mixed use, major refurbishment and data centres.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the design process, supporting less‑experienced team members through technical review, mentoring and advice.
• Manage processes to resolve technical issues and risks in a timely, cost‑effective manner.
• Forge strong relationships with other WSP disciplines, external consultants, stakeholders and clients.
• Deliver sustainable structural solutions from concept to detailed design and construction.
• Provide specialist advice on sustainable design, net‑zero carbon, MMC and DfMA.
• Report to a senior team member on major multi‑disciplinary development projects across the UK and internationally.

What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate

• Degree or HNC/HND qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Progression towards chartership (IStructE or ICE).
• Solid experience in structural engineering across all materials.
• Detailed working knowledge of national codes and standards.
• Proven understanding of the design process and ability to produce calculations.
• Experience with structural design software such as ETABS, RAM Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer & Tedds.
• Benefit from experience with Revit, Rhino, and Grasshopper.
• Track record of working with diverse clients and contractors to achieve technical solutions.
